LETTER POLICY: The Banner-News welcomes letters from readers. All letters must be signed and must contain the author’s address and a telephone number where the writer can be reached during the work day. The name of the writer will be published with the letter. Writers are limited to one letter per calendar month. Letters are subject to the editing requirements of the newspaper. Letters expressing thanks are no longer accepted as letters to the editor, but may be directed to the newspaper’s advertising department. Write to the Banner-News, Letters to the Editor, P.O.
