A deer was responsible for shattering a window at a Magnolia business early this morning.

At approximately 5 a.m., Magnolia police responded to Aaron’s, a rent-to-own store at 410 W. Main St.

The scene was so bloody that officers initially thought there was a crime scene, but soon discovered the blood had been shed by a deer that jumped through one of the windows.

Police followed a trail of blood left by the deer but were unable to locate the animal.
