Southern Arkansas University’s request for a construction bond issue was approved Friday by the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

The board, meeting in Fort Smith, decided that SAU’s plan to issue $10,310,000 in bonds is economically feasible. The action clears the way to issue bonds for several purposes.
