The Columbia-Lafayette Retired Teachers Association met at Miller’s Cafeteria on Wednesday, May 20, 2009.

Merilyn Jones, president, welcomed the group and led the Collect, and Sonny Whittington led the Pledge to the Flag.

Sonny Whittington introduced the speaker, Jane Alexander, pharmacist at Miller’s Pharmacy for 15 years. Alexander attended Southern Arkansas University and received a degree in 1979 from the Louisiana-Monroe Pharmacy School. She reviewed the book, “Vitamin D – The Cure,” by Dr. James Dowd.
