The Arkansas Council of Teachers of Mathematics recently conducted a regional math contest at Southern Arkansas University. Mathematics students in grades 8-12 competed in one of the following categories: Algebra I, Algebra II, geometry, trigonometry/pre-calculus, or calculus.

Morgan Hoffman and Adam Gianelloni, eighth-grade students at Magnolia Junior High School, won first and second place respectively in the Algebra I division.
