A Springhill man who had charges against him in Louisiana now faces additional charges in Arkansas.

Keith Lawson of Springhill, La., was arrested Wednesday in Taylor by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a press release from the office, Lawson ran away from a deputy during a routine traffic stop in Taylor. Lawson had been stopped for a moving traffic violation.

Officers determined that Lawson was wanted in Louisiana for parole violation. While being interviewed, Lawson fled on foot — leaving behind an infant child and a passenger.
