The Columbia County Sheriff’s Department received a report of an assault Saturday that sent two men to the hospital.

Deputy Scotty Young was notified by the Springhill, La., Police Department concerning an assault that had happened in Columbia County on Saturday. Young went to the Springhill Medical Center where he spoke with one of the victims of the attack.

The victim said that he was advised by a friend that a juvenile from Magnolia wanted to meet with them for a fight.
