The design for the new business office and maintenance building at the Magnolia Regional Medical Center was approved Monday night.

The hospital Board of Commissioners saw a presentation of two designs during its regular meeting.

The design selected is a brick facade over a wood frame. The exterior will be similar to the new hospital building.

Estimated cost for the building is $808,170 which is more than the budget of $750,000.

The second design was a steel structure with metal panel walls. The cost of this design was $702,518.
