New county library opens for business

The Columbia County Library officially reopened its doors this morning at its new location at 2057 N. Jackson St.

“I’m astounded at the spaciousness,” Jack English said of the new facility. “I think it’s a great attribute to the city.”

The new building is 25,614 square feet compared to the old building’s 16,200 square feet.

Although the library is not completely ready for patrons, the staff continues to unpack books to complete the move.
