GREENVILLE, Texas — Brandon Woodruff had dropped some of his classes at Abilene Christian University, where he was enrolled as a freshman in the fall of 2005.

Texas Ranger Jeff Collins testified Tuesday that Woodruff’s parents, former Magnolia residents Dennis and Norma Woodruff, were running out of patience.
