LITTLE ROCK (AP) — The Arkansas Appeals Court on Wednesday upheld the murder conviction of a Camden man who argued that he suffered a mental disease when he fatally shot his wife and wounded a man he believed was having an affair with her.

The court rejected arguments from Steven Ralph Teater that certain text messages should have been allowed into evidence at his trial. The court said the messages were irrelevant to Teater’s defense.
