Drivers survive collision at East Main intersection
A tractor-trailer carrying drill bits and a Chevrolet Blazer collided about 4:10 p.m. Wednesday at East Main Street and the U.S. 79-82 bypass. Charles B. Tillotson, 65, of Pie Town, N.M., was traveling west on U.S. 82 when his truck collided with the Chevrolet Blazer, pictured at left, driven by Natasha J. Jester, 22, of Waldo. Jester was attempting to turn north onto the bypass from East Main Street when the passenger side of her vehicle was struck by Tillotson’s truck. Jester was taken by ambulance to Magnolia Hospital, while Tillotson was unhurt but shaken.
