The student activity fee at Southern Arkansas University will increase by $1 per credit hour beginning in January 2009.

The Board of Trustees approved a resolution Thursday for the additional funding to be used for enrichment services on the campus, including “concerts, lectures, and related events for the benefit of SAU students.”

The increase was proposed by the Student Activites Board and will go into effect for the spring semester so additional funding will be available for the centennial programs.
