Mayor seeks comments from residents
The City of Magnolia has received over $2 million in grant funds the past four years. Funds have been used to repave roads, revamp parks, build sidewalks and address drainage problems among other issues. Magnolia Mayor Parnell Vann has been asked to make a list of items or projects needed in the next five years with possible future grant money.
He wants to hear Magnolia residents' opinions about needs of the city. The mayor said he knows the city needs to continue to address drainage issues and possibly build a central meeting center and asked what other projects would the citizens of Magnolia like to see in the next five years.
