Two area roads will be closed for portions of this week for repairs, and the city of Magnolia will also continue its street improvement project.

Columbia Road 7 in south-central Columbia County will be closed, beginning Monday at 8 a.m., for approximately four days for repairs.

The Columbia County Road Department will repair a bridge between Columbia Road 8 and Columbia Road 10, causing the closure.

The Columbia County Judge's Office said Columbia Road 10 is once again open after repairs. Additional work will be completed to various roads throughout the county in the coming weeks, according to County Judge Larry Atkinson.

Also beginning Monday at 8 a.m., North Washington Avenue near the intersection of Stadium Drive will also be closed as the Magnolia Street Department installs a culvert at the location. The road closure is expected to last three days.

The city's street improvement project will continue as well this week, with work crews repaving South Calhoun Street on Monday.
