The average retail price for a gallon of gasoline in Arkansas decreased 3.0 cents in the past week to $3.38 per gallon. The national average decreased 2.3 cents in the past week to $3.59 per gallon.

Prices in Arkansas are 5.9 cents higher than one month ago and 24.1 lower than a year ago. Nationally, prices are unchanged from one month ago and 22.3 cents lower than a year ago.

The gasoline price limbo has continued for another week, with prices across the nation nearly the same as they were a month ago.

Uncertainty in Syria continues to dominate international headlines, but the situation has only caused a slight rise in prices so far. The Atlantic hurricane season has also less active than normal. These two situations are still the most likely to influence a change in gasoline prices in the coming days and weeks.

The cumulative yearly average for a gallon of gasoline is currently $3.57, five cents lower than one year ago.
