Mercy and Grace Missionary Baptist Church's youth department will hold a fish plate fundraiser from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at 1705 N. Vine Ave. Fish plates are $8.50 with all the trimmings.

Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church of Emerson will hold its annual choir anniversary at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited.

SUNDAY - September 22

First Baptist Church of Calhoun Heights will hold its annual Family and Friends Day at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Donald Crawford and Sweet Home Baptist Church of Emerson will be special guests.

MONDAY - Sept. 23

First Baptist Church of Calhoun Heights will host a three-night revival, beginning at 7 p.m. each evening. Rev. Tony Smith will be the evangelist.

FRIDAY - September 27

Bethany Missionary Baptist Church will hold a Women's Conference, presented by Pastor Derick “D.T.” Thomas and Lady Renado Thomas at 480 E. Broadway St. in McNeil, beginning at 6 p.m. The event will last through September 29. On Saturday, it begins at 8 a.m. On Sunday, it begins at 10:30 a.m. There will be numerous guest speakers and evangelists. Early registration is $50 through Sept. 10, while late registration is $60 between Sept. 11 and Sept. 20.
