The Magnolia Police Department reports the following activity:
•Larry Evans Jr., 27, of Magnolia, was arrested Tuesday on two separate warrants for second degree forgery. Approximately two weeks ago, forged checks started to be passed at local businesses, and an investigation was initiated by detectives at the MPD. The investigation led to the arrest of the suspect, whose bond has been set at $100,000 on the two charges. The suspect is currently being held at the Columbia County Detention Center and is awaiting first appearance. The investigation is still active.
•Sierra Diann Harve, 18, of Magnolia, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant out of Webster Parish, La. No bond was set, and she is in the Columbia County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Louisiana.
•James Jackson, 31, of Magnolia, was arrested Saturday for failure to appear.
•Derrick Ellis, 36, of Magnolia, was arrested Saturday for DWI-second offense, refusal to submit to a breath test, driving on a suspended driver’s license, and no proof of insurance.
•Two 15-year-old juveniles were arrested Saturday for disorderly conduct.
•Jaymar Early, 19, of Magnolia, was arrested Saturday for third degree battery. Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Lelia Street in reference to a fight, and when they arrived it was determined the subject had physically assaulted another individual.
•Bobby Jamerson, 46, of Magnolia, was arrested Monday for shoplifting from Wal-Mart.
•Sammy Otwell, 25, of Magnolia, was arrested Tuesday for failure to appear.
•Kenneth Marshall, 46, of Magnolia, was arrested Wednesday for failure to appear.
•Carlo Witcher, 21, of Magnolia, was arrested Wednesday for theft of property under $1,000.
•Sergio Valdez, 21, of Magnolia, was arrested Thursday for DWI, cited for driving left of center, no driver’s license, and failure to give a turn signal.
•Chad Valentine, 29, of Magnolia, was arrested Thursday on an affidavit warrant for harassment.
•Sharde Harris, 24, of Magnolia, was arrested Thursday on an affidavit warrant for theft of property under $1,000.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity:
•Shelly Burns, 29, of Emerson, was arrested Wednesday for four counts of possession of a firearm by certain persons. She is awaiting first appearance, and her bond was set at $10,000.
