Hollis R. Rinehart
Hollis R. Rinehart, 89, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Magnolia Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 9, 1924, in Patmos to the late Joe Spencer and Callie (Beavers) Rinehart.
He graduated from Springhill High School in Springhill, Ark., and attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. He was a veteran in the United States Army, serving during World War II. Hollis retired from Arkla Feed and Fertilizer, and was a member of Antioch West Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish, and was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. Hollis devoted his life to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jessica Nicole Blevins; son-in-law, Bill Beck Jr.; and three brothers, Clinton, Hoyette, and Wallace Rinehart.
Hollis is survived by his wife Mary J. Rinehart of Magnolia; daughters, Sherry Beck of Little Rock and Sue Blevins and husband Steve of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Eric Beck and wife Michelle of Maumelle, Amber Holloway and husband Brian of Frenchport, Brandi Brown and husband Chad of Mayflower, Holly Blevins and Alex Blevins of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Emerson Brown and Hadley Brown of Mayflower, Dylan Holloway of Frenchport, and Victoria Beck of Maumelle; sister, Lola Ellidge of Hope; brother, Elgin Rinehart of Arlington, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Lucy and Rev. Raymond Cammack officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Harvey Hudman, John Jack, Frank Worley, James Skinner, Rodney Dyson, and Larry Talley. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Blevins, Chad Brown, Brian Holloway, Eric Beck, and Arlis Palmer.
