The investigation into the weekend homicide of an elderly Magnolia woman continues.
The body of Glenda L. Stroman, 74, was found Sunday morning in her North Dudney Road home. Her body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock.
Police arrived at the house shortly before 8 a.m. and continued to work throughout the day under the direction of Investigator Todd Dew.
“They [the investigators] are still processing the evidence,” Maxwell said around 1 p.m. Sunday. “They’re going to be here probably for another couple of hours.”
Maxwell said this was the first homicide in Magnolia this year.
No suspect has been named, but Maxwell said, “we’re following leads and looking at individuals.”
“I think that [people] need to be conscious about what’s going on and what’s taking place in the community right now,” said Maxwell.
Maxwell asked anyone having information in the case to contact the Magnolia Police Department.
Funeral arrangements for Stroman are pending with Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia.
