Magnolia Police Chief Glenn Maxwell said the body was discovered early Sunday morning inside a home at 1206 North Dudney Road.

Authorities are not currently releasing the name of the woman. Her body was sent to the state crime lab in Little Rock.

Police arrived at the house shortly before 8 a.m. and continued to work throughout the day under the direction of Investigator Todd Dew.

“They [the investigators] are still processing the evidence,” Maxwell said around 1 p.m. Sunday. “They’re going to be here probably for another couple of hours.”

Maxwell said there had been no arrests and no leads or suspects in the investigation.

“I think that [people] need to be conscious about what’s going on and what’s taking place in the community right now,” said Maxwell.
