An early morning fire in McNeil killed one person, identified this morning by Columbia County Sheriff Mike Loe as Betty Jean Sanders, age 77. One firefighter was treated for injuries, and a female occupant of the home was able to escape the blaze without injury, Loe said. Find more on this story in today’s Banner-News.
