The AP reports that Ouachita Parish sheriff’s deputies have arrested a 36-year-old Monroe man accused of using a stun gun on a woman. The News-Star reports Jackie Robinson was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center Thursday on charges of second-degree kidnapping and possession of marijuana.
The victim told deputies an unknown man came up behind her while she was attempting to enter her house, and grabbed her by the throat. The victim said the man, later identified as Robinson, began using a stun gun and striking her in the face and neck. The victim told deputies she was able to get away from her attacker when a witness approached the suspect with a bat. It was unclear whether Robinson had an attorney.
