Central Arkansas Development Council will distribute USDA commodities Thursday, November 17 and Friday, November 18 in Columbia County.
Columbia County’s distributions will begin at 9 a.m. at the Columbia County Fairgrounds at 101 Columbia 13 in Magnolia and in the McNeil Community at Hwy. 79 in McNeil.
The food items to be distributed may include black-eyed peas, whole corn, apple juice, peaches, beef stew, great Northern beans (dry) whole grain rotini pasta and peanut butter.
To be eligible to receive USDA commodities, income guidelines must be met. The income guidelines for this program are based on 130% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Based on these guidelines, a one person household must make less than $14,157 per year to qualify for this program. For each additional family member, add $4,966.
