What will you be doing for Halloween this weekend?

There are many, many Halloween events -for both kids and adults – slated for this weekend in Columbia County. Here, you’ll find a list of those events – and if you attend any of them and happen to capture a photo or two, we hope you’ll share them with us for publication with the Banner-News! • The American Legion, Post 3, of Magnolia, hosts Karaoke tonight at 325 Legion Dr. The doors open at 6 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge to get in. Everyone must be 21 or older to enter. IDs will be checked at the door.

• Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Phi Zeta Omega Chapter will present “A SpooktAKulAR Night” Sat., Oct. 29, from 8 p.m.-12 a.m. at the SAU Skating Rink, for grades 7-12. Admission will be $5. Activities will include a costume contest and a dance contest.

• The American Legion, Post 3, will host a Halloween Costume Contest Dance featuring Southern Justice Sat., Oct. 29. The doors open at 6 p.m. with a $5 cover charge to get in. Adults must be 21 or older to enter. IDs will be checked at the door.

• New Zion Missionary Baptist Church will host its Annual Fun Fall Festival at 4 p.m., Sat., Oct. 29. Biblical costumes are welcome.

• Southern Customer Creations will host the Second Cruise Night Car and Motorcycle Show from 4-9 p.m., Sat., Oct. 29, at Central Baptist Church’s parking lot located just off of the Magnolia Downtown Square. All hot rods, low riders, imports, 4x4s, motorcycles and show cars are invited to participate. • The Walkerville Cumberland Presbyterian Church will hold its annual Fall Festival at 6 p.m., Sat., Oct. 29. There will be games, chili, hotdogs, a scavenger hunt and a hayride. The church is located on Columbia 3 off Hwy. 19 S.

• Prescott Raceway will sponsor a Halloween party. Trick-or-treating begins at 6 p.m. A hay ride will start at dusk. There is a costume contest. Adults cost $10 and children 11 and under are free.

• J-C Cowboy Church will host a ‘trunk or treat’ at 6-8 p.m., Sun., Oct. 30, at the Lafayette County Fairgrounds.

• Atwoods Ranch and Home will host the 16th Annual Pet Costume Contest at 2 p.m. Sun., Oct. 30, at Atwoods, 1629 E. Main St., Magnolia. Pet supply sponsors have donated $10,000 in supplies for prizes.

• Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity is sponsoring a “Trunk or Treat” from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Mon., Oct. 31,  in the Reynolds parking lot of the SAU campus. Many organizations are participating.

• The elders and staff at Wentworth Place invite children of Columbia County to trick-or-treat from 5:30-7 p.m, Mon., Oct. 31.

• SAU’s Department of Agriculture and Ag Club will host “Boo in the Barnyard” from 5-7:30 p.m., Halloween night, at Childs Hall. All children and parents can attend.

• The Taylor Memorial VFW and Auxiliary Post #8124 will host its annual weiner roast 6-8 p.m., Mon., Oct. 31, at the gazebo in downtown Taylor. Food will include free hot dogs, chili, nachos and soft drinks.

• The Pentecostals of Magnolia will host a ‘Trunk-or-Treat’ from 5:30-7 p.m., Mon., Oct. 31, in the church parking lot, Hwy. 79-82 Bypass.

• Immanuel Baptist Church will host a Fall Festival at 6:30 p.m., Mon., Oct. 31. Sign up today to be a part of Trunk or Treat. Bring candy donation to the box in the foyer. Call the office at 234-4042 for more details.
