Columbia County 4H clubs are reorganizing and seeking new members. The purpose of these clubs is to give youth ages 5-19 an opportunity to participate in the youth development educational program of the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. Youth in 4-H clubs will learn life skills, enhance leadership skills, and increase self esteem while serving in a number of community service projects. Youth in 4-H clubs have an opportunity to compete in a number of competitive activities, attend camps, and earn scholarships for education. The following is a list of the Columbia County 4-H clubs, where and when they meet:
- The Atlanta Hilltop 4-H club meets the second Monday of each month at 6 pm in the Hilltop Baptist Church building located at 14661 Hwy 98 in Magnolia.
- The Bethlehem 4-H club meets the second Friday of each month at 4 pm in the Bethlehem Baptist Church building located at 900 South Washington Street in Magnolia.
- The Columbia County Cattle club meets the 4th Sunday of each month at 2 pm in the County Extension office located at 206 West Calhoun Street in Magnolia.
- The Emerson Mighty Pirate 4H club meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 4pm in the agriculture building on the Emerson High School campus.
- The 4H Livestock Project club meets the 2nd Sunday of each month at 2 pm in the Extension office located at 206 West Calhoun Street in Magnolia.
- The 4H Shooting Sports club meets the 1st Monday of the month at 4 pm at the Extension office located at 206 W. Calhoun Street in Magnolia.
- The Taylor 4H club meets the 4th Sunday of each month at 3 pm in the Taylor First Baptist Church in Taylor.
- The 4H Teen Leader Club meets the 1st Monday of each month at 7 pm in the Extension office located at 206 W. Calhoun Street in Magnolia.
- The Waldo 4H Club meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7 pm in the home of Mara Linton at 153 Columbia 134 in Waldo.
10. The 4H Horse Club meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6 pm at the Raney home located at
161 Columbia 258 in Magnolia.
11. The Community Kids 4H Club meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 6 pm in the home of Pat Dooly located at 171 Columbia 85 in Atlanta.
12. The Shiloh-Lamartine 4H club meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 7 pm in the home of Kenneth Ward located at 420 Columbia 60 E. in Waldo.
