An Arkansas winery will be the first state vineyard to export grape juice to China since 2004, the AP reports. The Arkansas Agriculture Department says Post Familie Vineyards of Altus has completed a sale of its 100 percent muscadine bottled grape juice to a Beijing-based importer. The first shipment of “Arkansas Grown” red and white muscadine juice will leave the Franklin County winery on Tuesday.
The United States exported more than $91 billion in goods to China in 2010.
Agriculture officials say Arkansas’ share of that is valued at more than $335 million.
