Leadership Magnolia will host its first-ever business mixer, 4-6 p.m, June 16, at Southern Arkansas University’s Science Center. Dr. Roger Guevara met with Banner-News reporter Chelsea Spurlock earlier today to discuss the purpose of the mixer, which is to spread the word about the positive benefits of participating in Leadership Magnolia.
You’ll find the details of that interview in tomorrow’s Banner-News, but in the meantime, as a recent graduate of the Leadership Magnolia program, we don’t mind telling you here how much we enjoyed being involved in it. It’s a great way to learn more about the community and its industries, charities, history and government . . . and much more! But most importantly, the Leadership Magnolia program teaches its students why it’s so important to take an active role in the community – no community can move forward without strong leaders to help mold the way, and Leadership Magnolia turns out leaders by the dozens. We plan to be on hand for the mixer, and we hope you will, too!
