Want to know who took prizes in the CCAPS-sponsored Dog Show this morning?

This morning’s Blossom Festival Dog Show, sponsored by the Columbia County Animal Protection Society, brought dog lovers from across the region to Magnolia. Samara Morrison, pictured here with her best pal Dixie, won Best of Show. Judges were Angela Vann, of Magnolia, and Casey Hughes of Springhill, La. Steve Stroeble served as emcee, and Doris Warren presented the awards. Others winners were:

Children’s Division

1) Smallest Dog: Mariah Guevara with Miss Ellie

2) Cutest Dog: First place – Kyleah Vanderslice with Tiller; Second place – Claudia Franks with Izzy.

3) Best Costume: Emilee Coats with Gracie Luu Luu

4) Best Trick: Mariah Guevara with Miss Ellie

5) Best Owner-Dog Look-Alike: First Place – Emilee Coats with Gracie Luu Luu; Second place - Mariah Guevara with Miss Ellie; Third place - Kyleah Vanderslice with Tiller.

6) Shortest Tail: First place – Rebeka Hughes with Abby; Second place – Samara Morrison with Dixie.

7) Smallest Adopted Dog: Mandy Wilson with Ali.

8) Most Obedient: First place – Claudia Franks with Izzy; Second place - Mariah Guevara with Miss Ellie.

Adult Division

1) Biggest dog: Wilt Leak, first place, with Sam; Daisy Morrison, second place, with Luna.

2) Cutest dog: Heather Betts, first place, with Mattie; Manna Maloch, second place, with Eva.

3) Best costume: Tiffany Disharoon, first place, with Toby; second place, Sandra with Diva.

4) Best owner/dog look-alike: Laura West, first place, with Sarabell; Sarah West, second place, with Scubbles.

5) Biggest adopted dog: Ann Nowlin, first place, with Max; second place, Laura West, with Sarabell.
