Have something to say about proposed improvements to U.S. 82? It’s time to speak up . . .

Arkansas highway officials want to hear from the public about proposed improvements to U.S. Highway 82 in the southern part of the state, reports the Associated Press.

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will hold a series of Public Involvement Meetings in Crossett, El Dorado and Texarkana as part of a planning study.

The first meeting is scheduled for May 10 in Texarkana at Highland Hills Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. The second meeting will be held May 11 at the El Dorado City Council chambers and the third is set for May 12 at the Crossett Economic Development Building.

The meetings will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at each location, and officials say residents are welcome to visit during those times to ask questions and offer comments.
