Good news: The economy may be bad, but Arkansas hasn’t suffered the most

The Associated Press Economic Stress Index, released this morning by the AP, lists the 20 most economically stressed counties with populations of more than 25,000 in the U.S., and none of Arkansas’ counties made the list.

The majority of the counties that DID make the list are in California, followed by Nevada. Other states that have counties on the list include Missouri, New Mexico and Arizona.

And on the list of the 20 LEAST economically stressed counties are the following states: Kansas, Nebraska, Virginia, South Dakota, Iowa, Wyoming, North Dakota and Texas.

Arkansas didn’t make that list, either, but we’re still pleased to not be included on the worst list! If you’d like to see the list in its entirety,
