According to an article released this morning by the Associated Press, Pine Bluff will be among those Arkansas cities to face negative effects of the 2010 Census. The report states that the city stands to lose as much $750,000 annually in state turnback funds, thanks to a declining population.
Pine Bluff’s population fell by 11 percent in the last decade, the AP reports, noting that this marks the first time since the 1960s that the city’s population has fallen below 50,000.
