In today’s installment of weird news, the Associated Press reports that a Little Debbie snack truck stolen from a Walmart parking lot in Wichita, Kansas, left a trail of empty boxes and snack cake wrappers behind it that made it quite easy for law enforcement to locate the van in a shallow canal. It seems the thieves drove the van into the canal, although cops don’t know why. They do know, however, that the perps took with them a few snack cakes.
And in Chicago, Agim Demiri, 40, pleaded guilty to damaging state property yesterday. The damage in question was caused by a thrown egg – one that barely missed the judge overseeing his child support case. It was apparently a golden egg – the mess it left caused $616 in damage. Demiri was rewarded for his egg-throwing abilities with a bill for the damages and 90 days in jail.
