Unfortunately, though, Magnolia and Columbia County aren’t among the recipients. A press release issued this morning by the AEDC indicates grants were awarded to the following:
- $244,880: City of Mena – waterline to The Oaks, an assisted living center.
- $215,000: City of Lonoke – addition to the Open Arms Emergency Shelter for foster children.
- $194,575: City of Hardy – expansion to the existing library.
- $ 197,265: City of Ash Flat – renovation to a library in Ash Flat.
- $213,760: Saline County – construction of an Arts and Resource Center for disabled children.
- $203,923: City of Gould – drainage improvements for Van Buren Street.
- $190,000: Independence County – expansion of a food and clothing pantry in Batesville.
- $200,000: Pope County – water and sewer line extension.
- $209,888: City of Strong – construction of a multipurpose community center.
- $194,956: City of Mansfield – drainage improvements on Division Street.
- $210,280: City of Wilmar – repair and reconstruction of Seventh Street.
- $215,000: Clark County – building renovation for a disabled adult living and development skills center.
